Cinder Solutions is looking for a solid FPGA Design Engineer to fill a role for one of our growing clients in Camas, WA. This is a full time, 40 an hour a week position. We offer all full time employees a full competitive benefits package that includes PTO and Healthcare coverage.
Job Description:
The successful candidate will bring to our client their expertise and experience in FPGA Verilog and VHDL development.
Responsibilities:
- Developing the control logic for a custom PCIe card
- Integration, validation and debug with new circuit board
- Deep-dive performance measurement and analysis, and providing architectural and/or design-level changes to improve throughput, latency, and CPU offload
- Close collaboration with our clients' PCB hardware and software teams
- Develop a source-control strategy for long-term maintenance
Required Skills:
- 5 years commercial experience developing FPGA based products in a team setting with either Verilog or VHDL
- Motivated, self-starter
- Verilog and VHDL experience
- Proven experience with PCIe interfacing, including DMA
- Knowledge of PCI protocol at the TLP level
- Familiarity with development tools for Xilinx
- Experience with FPGA implementations for high-speed interfaces such as 10GB Ethernet
- Experience with full product life cycle from concept through production and support
Qualifications:
- PCB design experience
- Experience working with high availability systems
- Start-up company experience
- ASIC design experience
